MATERIALS NEEDED

• Cardboard Box or Boxes

• Glue

• Packing Tape

• Scissors / Exacto Knife

• Paper Plates

• Construction Paper

• Colouring Pencils

• K1 Speed Printable Details

• Markers

• Paints

 

Step 1

Start with a large box, tightly sealed on both sides.

 

Step 2

Have an adult use a box cutter to cut out a semicircle on each side to make the doors of your kart. Then cut two thirds of the top of the box, leaving it joined to the karts front end.

 

Step 3

Cut flap into a semi-circle, fold over and secure to the front of the box.

Giving your race car that round appearance.

 

Step 4

Glue on paper plate wheels and attach your steering wheel.

 

Step 5

Get creative – add a spoiler, Add a cardboard frame, don’t forget the gas pedal!

 

Step 6

Design and create a custom paint job

 

Step 7

Take photos of your kart creation!
